| The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL) |
In the Oregon Province there are a number of places that offer the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL), in which someone can "make" the Exercises over the course of a eight or nine-month period. In a province-wide ministry co-sponsored by our universities, our secondary schools, our parishes, and our new spirituality centers, the SEEL Programs usually begin in the Fall |

| Graces of the Retreat |
By making the retreat you hopefully will:
- Encounter the living God and God’s presence in creation, your personal life story and current life circumstances.
- Learn through experience various types of prayer, such as reading Scripture, meditation and contemplation.
- Develop an ability both to reflect on and verbalize your spiritual experience.
- Experience and grasp more deeply the Ignatian vision of Finding God in All things.

| What are the requirements? |
| The SEEL retreat programs invite anyone wishing to enter into a deeper relationship with God to consider participating in this unique opportunity. The retreat begins in September and ends in mid-May.
An application process helps determine one’s readiness for this experience. By asking for a spiritual autobiography, this process seeks to discover if a person is sufficiently free of issues which might block the dynamic of the retreat.
Participants are expected to pray daily, meet with a Spiritual Director regularly (twice a month is a norm) and meet one Saturday a month for a three hour mini-retreat with the other participants.
|
| |
| Who are the Directors? What do they do? |
| The Directors are men and women who have made the Spiritual Exercises themselves and have been prepared to walk with others in this experience. These are people who know that it is God who truly directs. The Directors help you discover how to pray best, how God prays in you, and where God is leading you. |
| |
| What is the Cost? |
| Cost varies from place to place. No one will be refused the retreat because of cost. Financial aid is available. |
