Fr. Patrick J. Lee, S.J., has served as Vice President for Mission at Gonzaga University since 2005. He entered the Society of Jesus in August 1969, was ordained a priest in June 1978, and professed Final Vows in September, 1993. An educator, over the years he has been a professor at Seattle University, teaching in the education department and had served as a counselor in the university’s counseling center. Fr. Lee was much loved and respected as the Director of Novices in the Oregon Province from 1993 to 2004 and has been noted for his work in Jesuit Spirituality and the contemporary adaptation of Ignatius’ thought in contemporary life. Fr. Lee earned an Ed.D from the University of San Francisco (’85), an M.Div from Weston Jesuit School of Theology (’78), and an MA and BA from Gonzaga University (’74/’69).
He begins his term as Provincial of the Oregon Province on July 31, 2008.
